Davy Eduard King is a Dutch actor born on November 9th, 1985, in Leiden, The Netherlands. He has a mixed heritage, with a Dutch mother and a Surinamese father. King’s journey into acting began in high school at The American School of The Hague, and he later pursued a Bachelor of Arts at Wartburg College in Iowa, USA. Besides acting, he also played Division 3 college basketball.
King initially gained recognition through TV commercials and made his debut on the Dutch soap opera “Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden” (Good Times, Bad Times). His career expanded to include roles in movies such as “Heavily in Love” and TV shows like “Spangas.” He made his US film debut with the Hallmark movie “To Catch a Spy.” For the short film ‘Möbius’ Trip, Davy recently was nominated “Best Actor” at the Brazil New Visions Film Festival and also ‘Best European Actor’ alongside Felix Kammerer, at the Septimius Awards.
He can also be heard quite often as a voice actor as he has lend his voice to big brands such as ‘Burger King,’ ‘Doritos,’ ‘Oreo Cookies,’ ‘Norton Antivirus,’ etc.
He is actively involved in both the acting and sports communities, having worked as an elementary school P.E. teacher, personal trainer and basketball coach at different times in his career. Currently, he resides in The Hague, Netherlands, and continues to pursue acting roles both domestically and internationally.
